| Overview
TMCs are playing
a critical role in managing travel on the surface transportation
system by coordinating and supporting the needs of a variety of
different interests that provide services to the traveling public.
TMCs are a key technical and institutional hub to bring together
the various jurisdictions, modal interests, and service providers,
to focus on a common goal of optimizing the performance of the surface
transportation system.
The mission
of the ITE TMC Committee is to facilitate the interaction, sharing
of information, and successful practices to advance the state-of-the-practice
of TMCs. The committee will also pursue opportunities to coordinate
and interact with other transportation industry groups on key issues
or initiatives of national and international interest that influence
TMCs. Click on the following links to access information on TMCs
